Overview

Provides guidance on transmitting a patient’s preferred name alongside their legal name in HL7 v2 messages. This supports more accurate and respectful identification of patients. This has been addressed in existing Technical Advisory Bulletin (TAB) guidance. This is a defined enhancement rather than an emerging area of work.
