Overview

Refers to the CDC-published HL7 v2.5.1 Implementation Guide used nationally for IIS data exchange. It standardizes VXU/ACK and QBP/RSP interactions across jurisdictions. While foundational, many IIS have already implemented this version and are transitioning to updated guidance. This is a mature baseline rather than an active area of emerging work.
